Recording Studios Birmingham, Summerfield recording studios

About Us: Summerfield Studios is a brand new recording studio in Birmingham, and the very first in the West Midlands to join the prestigious London based Miloco Studio Group. It has been built from the ground up by its owner, Phil Croft, who's inspired design has made Summerfield a fantastic addition to the Birmingham recording studio landscape. The concept was to design a recording studio focused on a combination of advanced room acoustics and an inspiring atmosphere for artists and producers to thrive in. This is a beautifully-crafted space with highly acclaimed acoustic qualities throughout. The studio's design is inspired - and has subsequently been praised by - the celebrated acoustic designer Philip Newell, and you can see why. A 48 square meter live space packs a real punch, and the state-of-the-art control room serves up a very accurate mixing environment. The studio - which also comprises an overdub booth, echo chamber and lounge/kitchenette space - looks and feels great, with much attention paid to lighting, decor and furniture.

These stunning spaces are complemented by an ever-growing collection of studio equipment. The spec is currently centered around a fully restored special order SSL 4040G Series console, a choice of outboard and plug-ins, plus a lovely selection of guitars, amps, pedals, synths, drums and percussion, plus a fabulous Yamaha C3 Grand piano in pristine condition - so there's plenty for bands to be getting their teeth stuck into. Located on the outskirts of Central Birmingham in the east of the city, Summerfield is at the heart of all the major transport routes, making it not only great for Birmingham-based artists, but also within reach for bands, producers and engineers located in other UK cities.
